| Weddings for our Troops is provided as a service of Marriage in Hawaii™, who has an agreement with several merchants. We show you their ads, and you visit their website through a provided link and make a purchase. The merchant pays 1/2% to 10% of your qualifying purchase made through a link, or a flat amount, or for your signing up for their service. Google ads earn about a penny per 100 clicks. You don't need to buy anything with a Google ad, just click. Google ads are on pages with text, to feed the Google robots. Currently, 100% of the earnings generated from your purchases via the links on Weddings for our Troops. (also WindwardWahine® & Marriage in Hawaii™ websites) will go toward a Hawaii marriage license (currently $60) for qualifying troops (see below), as funds are available. Merchants exclude refunds and gift certficiates, and pay for advertising two to three months after purchases.Google ads pay per click from Weddings for our Troops. so click often!
Yes, there are expenses involved and taxes to pay from what the merchants pay, as well as producing and maintaining this website. Perhaps this website will soon include photographers and florists, and....well, all kinds of services for our Troops, to add to their weddings. But for now, it's one step at a time, so payment for a Hawaii Marriage License will be first.

:: Who this is for ::
Active Duty US Military members of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy, and Marines, and service members from countries fighting with the United States, who have served in a combat area (eg., Afghanistan, Iraq) in the past six months, or who will be deploying in the coming six months, are eligible for a Hawaii marriage license paid for by advertising income. This will be made possible by earnings from links on this site, and sister sites set up with the same vision to say, "I support our troops" in a tangible manner.
As purchases are generated from links on this and sister sites and funds earned, marriage licenses will be paid for by Marriage in Hawaii.
:: Where this is used ::
The websites currently participating in this project are based in Hawaii, so Troops who choose to marry in Hawaii are currently eligible. As participation grows, the areas of service will grow, too.
:: When this is used ::
The cost of a Hawaii marriage license is currently $60. Each time $60 in earnings accumulates, a qualifying Troop will have his/her marriage license paid by your purchases.
For now, 100% of the earnings from purchases (or clicks on Google ads) will go into a fund for a Hawaii marriage license and each time $60 accumulates a Combat Troop will be thanked. The success is dependent on your participation.
